Whilst its quite clear that women have their own physical and psychological characteristics, we understand it does not mean they necessarily want easy training or feel they are getting a soft option. It does however mean that a good womens cycling coach takes these factors info account.
Coaching at Ride Revolution is focussed on the individual, their objectives, lifestyle and training needs.
At Ride Revolution we recognise that as you go through different stages of life, commitments change. Women have busy lives between work, caring and home commitments, and leisure activities. Our coaches will develop a package to fit around these activities that draw on your time and energy. Whether you enjoy getting out on the road or trails or prefer to ride and train indoors, our coaches can help.
There are no doubt a variety of reasons you might be looking for a coach. Some want to enjoy riding with their partner or to manage weight and improve fitness. Others may be looking to increase their confidence in club rides or sportives. Maybe you have signed up to a big event or a cycling holiday and want to improve your fitness, so you are happy and confident you will go into the event in great form. Perhaps you are taking those first steps into racing and are looking for support exploring the different disciplines. Have a look at the range of disciplines we offer coaching for. These include off road, multi sports and a variety of road sports. You could already be racing, but are seeking to take it to the next level. At Ride Revolution we have a wealth of experience coaching women across a range of disciplines and ages, with racing successes both at the national and international level.
And of course, we cannot forget the impact of hormones and the effect fluctuations in these have on training and performance and at different stages of a woman’s life. Training programmes are developed with an awareness of this and how to balance your training to prevent excessive exercise and the risk of amenorrhea (absence of periods).
We appreciate that there are comparatively few women cycling, making it hard sometimes to know who to ask about female related cycling issues. At Ride Revolution we offer a women’s specific rider women’s forum to ask questions about all things related to women’s cycling. For the more race focussed riders we also offer, as part of our Race Team, a Women’s race team, which we are actively trying to build.

How our Cycling Coaching works
Initial Consultation
From your initial enquiry with us, our Head Coach, Jake Hales will contact you and arrange a phone appointment. We like to get a good understanding of your current situation, goals, style and general cycling history. Jake will then recommend the best RideRevolution coach for your needs, all are skilled and experienced.
Where are you at?
Your new coach will have a second, more in depth consultation and will analyse past data and training in depth as well as conducting tests to assess your current fitness level, strengths and weaknesses. This will then form a baseline to create a plan unique to your needs to maximise your potential development.
And so it begins..
Your coach will create a personalised training plan for you, using TrainingPeaks software to set and record your sessions. After each training session, you will upload your ride data. Your coach will review your training, provide feedback and set your next block of training. All training is bespoke to each rider.
Ongoing Development
Your coach will provide regular feedback and analysis based on your training results via phone, WhatsApp & TrainingPeaks, helping you continue to progress your goals and improve performance. Training will be constantly adjusted to suit your needs and maximise your performance for your current goals.
